Drug Enforcement Take Back Day Set for April 26th

The Vincennes Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Department, Bicknell and Vincennes University Police Departments are a few of the law
enforcement and other agencies that will take part in this year’s DEA Prescription Drug Take Back day on Saturday, April 28th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office will also have drop off sites at Greene County General Hospital and the sheriff’s office.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department will be collecting outdated prescription drugs at the Dubois Fire Department.
The Sullivan County Soil & Water Conservation District will have a drop-off site at the Sullivan City Park.
The Robinson, Illinois Police Department will host a site at Crawford Memorial Hospital’s south drive thru entrance.
State Police Posts, including the Evansville, Jasper, Putnamville, and Bloomington Posts, will also have drop off sites.
Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands.
That’s dangerous and often tragic.
That’s why the public is encouraged to clean out their medicine cabinets and turn in – safely and anonymously – unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
