We are pleased to send a special invitation to attend the upcoming 1) Applied Machine Learning Workshop, 2) Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and 3) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) courses being held at WestGate Academy this summer.  The registration portals are now open and seats are limited! The CEH and CISSP meet the DoD 8570/8140, are ANSI approved and map to NIST NICE guidelines. Below are brief descriptions of the courses and links to the course page and registration.

  • Applied Machine Learning Workshop is a four-our course that will introduce the concept and practice of machine learning.  The workshop will briefly touch on the statistics and theories behind these models and methods but the focus of the course will be techniques, tools and applications.  The workshop will focus on artificial intelligence, data mining and machine learning, and then introduce students to basic concepts, such as supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforced learning and active learning.  An overview of many fundamental concepts will include training and test sets, overfitting and error rates.  The course will also introduce a range of model-based and algorithmic machine learning methods, including regression, classification, trees, Naïve Bayes and random forests.  The course will be taught by Professor Baijian (Justin) Yang of Purdue University Polytechnic.

Workshop is on July 25 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

The accredited, six-day, live, on-site course provides real-world, hands-on scenarios and case studies with interactive exercises and activities. Students are taught the five phases of ethical hacking (reconnaissance, gaining access, enumeration, maintaining access and covering your tracks), and then scan, test, hack and secure their own systems.  The course will be taught by Professor Nicole Hands, CEH Certified of Purdue University Polytechnic

Course will be from July 30 – August 4

Registration fee is $2,899 and includes the test voucher
