Government Groups Square Off– But Not Over Politics

City and County government officials will square off today– not over policy, but to raise money for the Salvation Army. The two groups will be out at the Vincennes Wal-Mart from this morning through five this afternoon. The two sides will ring the bells at separate entrances for the Salvation Army’s kettle campaign.
Knox County Salvation Army commander Curtis Lunnam says the idea came from the already-popular Vincennes-based Battle of the Badges…

Lunnam also knows the Battle of the Badges itself will be held at week from today– also at Wal-Mart…

Bragging rights are at stake during both battles of the public servants today, and again next week.
