Toyota North America Plant Shutdown Extended Two Weeks to April 26th

Toyota’s North American plants’ closure has been extended two weeks, to April 20th.  Originally, plant workers were to have been off until April sixth.

The new order is related to the coronavirus pandemic, and a resulting decline in vehicle demand.  Workers are expected to return to their jobs on that April 20th date.

Workers at Toyota’s Princeton plant will be paid through April tenth.  Members would then be given a choice to use either paid or unpaid time off through the week of April 13th.
