In-Person Visits Allowed Now at Indiana Prisons

Inmates inside Indiana’s prisons will soon get to see people from the outside for the first time in almost a year.

The state’s Department of Corrections says it’s going to resume in-person visits.

The return to visitations will roll out in phases.

The first people allowed back will be lawyers, then prison volunteers, then family members.

The DOC says they’re not yet sure just when people will be able to go and see their loved ones behind bars.
