Man Accused of Shooting Former Knox County Deputy in Court

The man accused of shooting former Knox County deputy Bryan Hicks was in court yesterday to face a charge of attempted murder.
Last month, police arrested 70-year-old Paul Wiltshire after he fired shots at officers who were there to check-up on the house – one of those shots hit Deputy Bryan Hicks in the head.  Hicks was serving as a Posey County deputy at the time of the incident.
Police fired back, shooting Wiltshire multiple times. He managed to recover; upon recovery, he was placed inside the Warrick County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
Deputy Hicks is still recovering in an Evansville hospital.
