Fitzpatrick Wins Open; Schenk Shoots One Under Over Weekend

Matt Fitzpatrick is celebrating his first major tournament victory.  Fitzpatrick finished atop the leaderboard with a six under par to win the US Open at the Country Club in Brookline.  The Englishman shot a 68 in the final round to hold onto the win.  Will Zalatoris and Scottie Scheffler finished one stroke behind Fitzpatrick to tie for second place at five under par.  Hideki Matsuyama shot a 65 on the final day of the tournament to secure fourth place at three under par.  Collin Morikawa and Rory McIlroy rounded out the top five after finishing two under.

South Knox graduate Adam Schenk finished his first U-S Open by competing on the weekend. Schenk was solid over the weekend, shooting even-par 70 on Saturday, and a one under 69 on Sunday.
