Dementia Assistance Program Moving to Statehouse

A bipartisan bill, co-authored by a Democrat and Republican, with the support of Governor Holcomb, is headed to the Statehouse with the goal of helping dementia patients with something called the Dementia Care Specialist Program.

David Sklar with the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter says the bill would bring in local dementia support to communities that need it by funding full time dementia expert jobs and resource offices across the state, potentially saving lives and saving millions of dollars in Medicaid costs.
