The second seeded Vincennes University Men’s Basketball team trailed by three at halftime but rallied in the second half to down third seeded Southwestern Illinois College 66-59 in the semifinals of the Region 24 tournament at Rend Lake College. The Blazers move into Friday night’s final against number one seeded John A Logan. The Volunteers are also the number 2 ranked team in the NJCAA; VU is ranked 14th.
The Vincennes University Women’s Basketball Team will shoot for the Region 24 crown tonight against top seeded and 12th ranked Wabash Valley. The second seeded Lady Blazers are 21-10 on the season while Wabash Valley is 29-1….and have won 29 straight games. Tip off from Lake Land College is 7 p.m.
