Vincennes City Council’s Neighborhoods Committee will meet on Monday to continue discussion of the City’s trash collection. The discussion is needed, since at current rates, the sticker system is not collecting enough to meet collection expenses. The current rate for trash stickers is a $1.25 per bag.
The Committee is considering various changes. The adjustments include an increase in sticker fees; they are also reviewing possible monthly flat-fee options. At this time, Committee members say all options are still on the table. When they are ready, the Committee will make a recommendation to the full Vincennes City Council.
The session is open to the public.
