KC Sports Roundup for Tuesday

Lincoln scored twice in the top of the seventh inning and used solid pitching in blanking Southridge 2-0 to hand new coach Daniel Ashby his first career baseball victory.  Drew Hambrick led the Alices with three hits while Raden Benson, Cam Primus and Jace Kinnett recorded 12 strikeouts and allowed only three Southridge hits.  Lincoln will play at Lawrenceville on Friday.
South Knox beat Sullivan 8-2 in the Spartans season opener.  Two three run homers in the 5th and 6th innings by Jaden McKinney and Zach Allen broke a 1-1 tie and led to the win.  Jacob Allen pitched five innings and got the victory for the Spartans.
Princeton scored ten runs in the third inning and went on to beat Rivet 15-0.
Sullivan pitcher Kate Ridgway allowed only three Lincoln hits while striking out ten as the Arrows blanked the Alices 4-0 in the softball season opener.  Grace Archer had two of the three hits while Addy Alton the other. Lincoln will host North Knox tonight.
The Lincoln JV Baseball team beat Washington 8-6.  Paxton Smith picked up the win for the Alices.  Landon Johnson drove in three runs, Colton York had three hits for the Alices, who collected 14 hits in the game.
