KC Sports Roundup for Tuesday

In High School Baseball action yesterday…  Vincennes Rivet downed White River
Valley 5-3.  Big day for the Patriots Hunter Bilskie, not only did he pitched five innings and struck
out eight to get the win, but led the offense with three hits.  Miles Gardner, Brody Patton, Levi Brown
and Max Weiss also had hits as Rivet moves to 5-11 on the season.
South Knox claimed at least a share of the Blue Chip conference title after blasting North Knox 14-2 in five innings.  Kaden McKinley had a home run and drove in six runs as the Spartan move to 13-10 on the season.
The Lincoln softball team lost at Class 3-A number one Gibson Southern 12-7.  Grace Archer led
The Alices with three hits while Mia Hagood added two hits and three RBI’s and Kahre McCrary also
chipped in with a pair of hits as Lincoln falls to 8-14 on the season.
The South Knox softball team was limited to just two hits and lost to Barr-Reeve 7-0.  Lily Culp had both Spartan hits as South Knox dropped to 10-10 on the season .
The Rivet Golf team was third in a tight triangular match at Cypress Hills.  Washington had a 164, Barr-Reeve a 166 and the Patriots a 168.  Top finishers for Rivet were Parker Steininger a 39.  Zach Bottoms a 41, Nash Random a 43 and Drake Bellessa a 45.
Pairings for this weeks girls tennis sectionals were announced on Monday .  Play begins
at the Vennis Sectional  with only one match and that will feature the host Alices taking
on tournament favorite South Knox.  The winner will face Vincennes Rivet in one semi
final.  The other semi has Washington Catholic playing Washington.
The Championship is set for Thursday at five pm.

The Girls track sectional takes place at Princeton tonight, beginning at six.
The Clark softball team took a pair from Pike Central.  The A team won 13-4.  Olivia Lewis had three hits and Meeks Bates had three RBI’s.  The B team 14-4 as Ashlynn  Wehrman had three hits for CMS.
