Drivers Urged to Remember Patience This Season

The Knox County Sheriff’s Department is urging patience from drivers across the area, due to various things happening across the county.
The first is the continuing planting season.  Many farmers are still working on planting crops, and department officials are preaching patience.  Sheriff Doug Vantlin reminds everyone farm equipment has the right to the roads too.  The other traffic challenge is road construction– especially on State Road 61.
A third area of concern is with summer school bus routes.  Drivers are reminded to continue obeying school bus stop arm laws, even with fewer bus routes, especially in late May and June.
