Alan T. Leonard, age 50, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away on March 31, 2026, in Jasper, Indiana. He was born on September 16, 1975, in Washington, Indiana, to Barbara Lamb Leonard and the late Gary Leonard.

Alan lived a life marked by kindness, quiet strength, and a deep love for the people around him. He was a devoted son, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a cherished brother whose presence brought comfort and warmth to his family. He is survived by his devoted mother, Barbara Leonard; his dedicated children, Ashton Gilliatt and her husband Dustin of Wisconsin, and Abigail Watkins and her husband Kyle of Newburgh, Indiana; and his beloved grandchildren, Clara and Charlie Watkins. He is also survived by his siblings, Tracey Harner, Greg Butler, Amy Phillips, and Joshua Leonard. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Leonard and nephew, Zachary Patton.

Alan was a graduate of Washington High School, and he carried the lessons of hard work and perseverance with him throughout his life. He had a gentle way about him that made others feel at ease, and his family and friends will remember him for the sincerity and loyalty he showed throughout his life.

He attended New Life Pentecostal Church in Huntingburg, Indiana, where he found fellowship and a sense of belonging.

Alan was also a gifted artist who loved to draw. His creativity was one of the many special gifts he shared with the world, and his artwork reflected the imagination and care that came naturally to him. He was also a real wiz at math, a talent that spoke to his sharp mind and his ability to see patterns and solve problems with ease. These abilities were a source of pride for him and a reminder of the many ways he touched the lives of others.

Those who knew Alan will remember his loving nature, his humor, and the devotion he had for his family. He treasured his children and grandchildren deeply, and he took great pride in the lives they built. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, in the stories they share, and in the many ways he made their lives brighter.

Alan T. Leonard will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a testament to family, faith, and the enduring impact of a kind and generous spirit.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 2:00 P.M (Eastern Daylight Time) at Oakgrove Cemetery. Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with Alan’s arrangements.
