The South Knox School Family Remembers Ashlynn Smith

The South Knox Schools community is mourning the unexpected death of South Knox Elementary teacher Ashlynn Smith. Smith died earlier this week.
In a statement, South Knox Superintendent Jeff Cochren called Smith “an exceptional educator, mentor, and friend.” Further Cochren asked for privacy and respect at this time, as the community rallies to support one another.
Smith’s funeral arrangements are still pending at this time. Further, counselors and ministers are available for any students or staff in need.
