The speed limit is going up on a portion of State Road 56 in Pike County.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says it plans to increase the speed limit tomorrow from 45 to 50 miles an hour between the Pike County line and just west of Petersburg.
IN-DOT says the five-mile per hour hike in the speed limit follows a traffic study that found a decrease in traffic along that stretch of State Road 56.
