Brenda J. “Wilkerson” Peach, age 76, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away on April 17, 2026. She was born on March 27, 1950, in Gibson County, Indiana, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family and the simple joys that brought her happiness.
Brenda attended many schools throughout her life and carried with her a lifelong curiosity and appreciation for learning. She was known for her steady presence, her kind heart, and the way she made those around her feel cared for and valued. Her life reflected a quiet strength and a deep love for the people closest to her.
On February 25, 1984, Brenda married the love of her life, Harold Ray Peach. Together, they shared many years of marriage filled with companionship, family, and everyday moments that became treasured memories.
Brenda worked as an Evansville dispatcher and later as a bookkeeper. In both roles, she was dependable, hardworking, and attentive to detail. She approached her responsibilities with dedication and a strong sense of duty, earning the respect of those who worked alongside her.
Brenda found joy in the things she loved most. She loved a good book, a warm cup of coffee, playing games on the computer, and spending time outdoors. These interests brought her comfort and enjoyment, and they were part of the personality that family and friends came to know and cherish. She especially loved her grandchildren and took great pride in each of them. Her time with them was among her greatest joys, and her love for them was evident in all she did.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Ray Peach; her son, Lonnie Wayne Higgins Sr. (Heather); her three grandchildren, Lonnie Wayne Higgins Jr. (Amberlynn), Cody Adam Higgins, and Kenzie Higgins; her two great-grandchildren, Tucker and Noah Fulcher; and her siblings, Jeff Wilkerson, Fred Wilkerson, and Alice Thomas.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary “Carnahan” Wilkerson, and her siblings, Dana Robinson, Kevin Wilkerson, and Louis “Junie” Wilkerson Jr. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to family, and the lasting love she shared throughout her life.
