In baseball:
For the second time in two days, the North Knox Warriors hold off a late rally to win—this time over Rivet, 5-4, at Saint Vincent Field.
Three runs in the fourth inning lead the Warriors to victory. Levi Pahmeier gets the win on the mound, with Rylen Oxby getting the save. Jayden Thacker took the loss for the Patriots.
North Knox and Rivet each had seven hits, but five of the Warrior hits wer doubles—including two from Eli Elkins. Cale Bezy and Miles Gardiner had two hits each for Rivet.
North Knox is now 6-5 with the win, while Rivet moves to 10-4.
In softball:
Make it 14 straight for the Vincennes Lincoln Lady Alices, as they defeat Evansivlle Reitz 10-5. LHS opened up a 7-0 lead after three, and held on for the SIAC victory.
Olovia Lewis led the way with three hits, while Grace Archer, Mia Hagood, and Olivia Lange all tallied two runs batted in. Jayden Miller got the pitching win for the Lady Alices.
In tennis:
The Rivet Patriots defeated Bloomfield 5-0 yesterday. Winners for the Patriots include Bridget Stine, Bela Pacheco, and Jocelyn Thacker. Doubles winners were Jaclyn Campbell and Claudia Herman, and Addi Beamon and Mnidy Catt.
The South Knox Spartnans came up with a 3-2 win over Evansville North to move to 11-0 on the year. South Knox singles winners were Alli Hayden and Elaina Watjen, and the doubles team of Maggie Vieke and Jenna Bloebaum.
The Vincennes Lincoln tennis team defated Evansville Central 5-0 yesterday.
In middle school sports:
The Clark Middle School baseball team defeated Gibson Southern in five innings, 13-3. Jackson Wilson led the way with two homers for C=M-S. Clark lost the B game 13-1.
In track:
The Clark Middle School boys defeated both Loogootee and Barr-=Reeve to win a three-way meet yesterday. Bryson Roberts won in three events, wh ile single event wins went to Ayden Schlomer and Sam Pargin.
The C-M-S girls were second in their meet. Barr Reeve won that one, with Loogootee third. Mauriana Moore took three event wins, with two first places for Sawyer Keusch. Mia Fleetwood also won one event, as did the 32-hunded meter relay team.
