An automated watermelon picker has some interested clients—ten thousand miles away from here.
Vincennes-based Terra Force is looking to the land down under for possible traction to sell its devices. Terra Force owner Mike Jacob says the idea is getting attention in Australia. Jacob says the Australian market is in no way a competitor to area watermelon producers.
Terra Force is headquartered at the Pantheon Business Theatre in downtown Vincennes. About a year ago, Jacob demonstrated a prototype of the watermelon picking machine he will be marketing in future months and years.
