The Indiana Department of Transportation is in full gear with its various projects across this area. The biggest of those is comprehensive work on U –S 41 from Kelso Creek near Vincennes to State Road 241 near Decker.
INDOT spokesman Gary Bryan says safety—and cooperation—are two of the biggest cornerstones to their work. Part of the work is placing a reduced conflict intersection on 41 near the INDOT headquarters. Bryan says with industry in that area—particularly Amazon—is a top priority.
Right now, the part of that project affecting the most traffic is work on the 41 overpass at the Hart Street exit. Alternating lane closures, and affected on and off-ramps to Hart Street, will be the biggest piece of that part of the project.
