Work continues on a sweeping set of improvements on U-S 41 at and just south of Vicnennes. The work is running on 41 from near Kelso Creek southward to U-S 241 near Decker.
Part of that work is installation of a reduced-conflict intersection—or RCI—near the south end of the U-S 41 Industrial Park. INDOT spokesman Gary Bryan says they have had a prior run with a similar intersection in Gibson County. Bryan knows a U-turn– or reduced conflict intersection– is different when heavy truck traffic is involved.
That intersection will serve the under constriction Amazon fulfillment center. It also will be near the Farbest Foods plant, which is also on the south side of the U-S 41 Industrial Park.
