Improvements have been made to the original Carnegie portion of the Knox County Public Library. At yesterday’s Library Board meeting, Library personnel reported on recent tuck-pointing and power washing to improve the building’s brick exterior. The work was paid for with a donation with a grant from the Carnegie Foundation.
This is the second project provided by the Carnegie funding. Earlier, the money provided the means to re-finish the building’s hardwood floor. The work was overseen by Mark Walker.
