Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita is requesting that the state’s Supreme Court set an execution date for death row inmate Jeffrey Weisheit (WY-shite). He is convicted of murdering two children in southern Indiana 16 years ago. Weisheit hog-tied and set fire to 5-year-old Caleb Lynch, resulting in the deaths of Caleb and his 8-year-old sister, Alyssa Lynch, who was also in the home at the time of the fire.

Weisheit’s appeals have been exhausted, and the court is now considering scheduling the execution. The most recent execution to happen in Indiana was in October of last year.
