Virginia “Jenny” Fredrick- Biggs, 74, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and quiet strength that touched the lives of all who knew her. She was born on April 16, 1952, in St. Francisville, Illinois, to the late James Edward and Margaret Justine Burns. Jenny lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to her family, friends, and community.

Jenny graduated from Saint Rose Academy in 1970 and later attended Vincennes Beauty College, beginning a lifelong connection to caring for others through both her work and her presence. She owned Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes with her husband, Pat Fredrick, for many years, where she also did hair and contributed her talents in countless thoughtful ways. Jenny and Pat shared not only a business, but also a love for remodeling homes and managing several rental properties together. After Pat’s passing, Jenny later found companionship with Richard Biggs and they were married in December of 2015. Together they enjoyed taking drives, going out to eat, and attending Purdue games; they could often be found having lunch at the Knights of Columbus.

Jenny also built a meaningful career of her own in the beauty industry. She operated her own beauty shop in her home on Sievers Road and later worked at Crestview Nursing Home for more than 28 years, where her warmth and skill brought comfort and confidence to many. Her work reflected the same selfless spirit she carried into every part of her life. She was known for being loving and selfless, and those qualities were evident in the way she cared for others without hesitation.

Family was the center of Jenny’s world. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren, and they were devoted to her in return. She is survived by her children, Matthew Fredrick and his wife Jennifer of Bicknell, and Danielle Linneweber and her husband Scott of Indianapolis; her stepson, Chad Nisbeth and his wife Chastity of Newburgh, Indiana; and her cherished grandchildren, Collin Fredrick, Brynn Fredrick, Rylann Fredrick, Meredith Wheeler, AubreyAnna Steiner, Elliott Linneweber, Sierra Cockrum, Olivia Cockrum, James Cockrum, Bryant Cockrum and his wife Marjory, Kennedy Nisbeth, and Kaylee Nisbeth. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Mila, Ava, and Gianna, who brought her great joy. Jenny is further survived by her siblings, Mary Kieffer and her husband Jerry of St. Francisville, Indiana, Jim Burns and his wife Donna of St. Francisville, Illinois, Charlie Burns and his wife Inge of St. Francisville, Illinois, and Sarah Kavanaugh and her husband John of Vincennes, along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Patrick “Pat” Fredrick; her second husband, Richard “Dick” Biggs; and two sons, Rick Cockrum and Brian Cockrum. Though her family grieves these losses, they take comfort in the many memories she helped create and the example she set through her faith and devotion.

Jenny was a Christian and a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her faith was an important part of her life and guided the way she treated others with compassion and grace. She enjoyed dressing up, shopping, and collecting porcelain dolls, but her greatest joy came from being with her family. She was always picking up her grandchildren from school and helping in any way she could. Her presence was a steady source of comfort, encouragement, and love.

Jenny Biggs will be remembered as a woman of deep faith, a loving mother and grandmother, and a selfless soul who gave generously of herself to others. Her life was a beautiful reflection of devotion, family, and care, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
