The Vincennes Parks Department Board is considering installation ofa new playground in the heart of Gregg Park. The idea was presented at yesterday’s Parks Board meeting by officials from R-E-A Associates.  The plan, if approved, would be to place the new playground behind the enclosed shelter house at Gregg Park.

A four-person team from the company gave a plan with two separate playground options—a classic design, and one highlighting Vincennes’ history…An R-E-A representative also highlights the practical advantages of the new installation.

The estimated cost would be around 2.2 million to 3.3 million dollars, depending on which option would be selected.  In a related discussion, the Parks Board members showed a lot of interest toward installing the new play area.
