A key centerpiece of this year’s Vincennes Fourth of July celebration is being placed on the Riverwalk today. The exhibit is the “Memorial Wall”—a tribute to those who died in the nation’s recent wars.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum says the wars they spotlight happened during many residents’ lifetimes. Mayor Yochum reminds everyone starting tonight, that display will be open to everyone to see and remember.
Overall, 30 Knox County residents died in the conflicts remembered by the Memorial Wall, with 29 of those killed in action during the Vietnam War.
