PACE Community Action Agency’s health Connection is preparing for another two-month drive to collect feminine hygiene articles for giveaway. The collection will be for schools in the six-county Health Connection area. The drive will begin in August, and continue through September.
They will collect various menstrual care items– including tampons and pads. PACE officials report one in three girls miss school at times due to lack of menstrual products in their possession. The donations are being accepted at all of the PACE Health Connection locations.
Other ways to donate include Amazon wish listing, donating cash at the Health Connection centers, or doing individual drives to collect the menstrual materials. Coordination is available by calling Melissa Mouzin-Bennett at 812-882-7927, extension 1224.
