Hot weather so far this summer has brought the issue of dog care to the front of many people’s minds this year. Various hot days with resultant humidity make it necessary to keep pet hydration in mind.
Vincennes Animal Shelter director Angie Stanley says they have had reports of dogs being left outside in brutally hot conditions. Stanley reminds everyone one of the biggest things a dog needs under any condition is some freedom of movement.
Other tips include proper hydration for dogs, especially in case of high heat index levels. Also, a source of shade for your dog is recommended.
