Vincennes University has received an A-Plus for two of its teaching programs. V-U rated one exceptional score for its Bachelor of Science in Special Education, Mild Intervention in K to 12th grade. The other was for Elementary Education from K to 6th grade.
The University’s grade was highlighted in the June 2026 report “Teacher Prep Review: Decoding Progresds in Reading Preparation.” The University program got the highest score for exceeding standards in five core teaching areas. The award was decided by a group of teaching preparation faculty, reading experts, and measurement professionals. The award mirrors V-U’s efforts to transform the education of those teaching in primary and secondary education.
