The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has awarded some area lakes funding as part of planned improvement projects for the next year.
Sullivan Lake was awarded two contracts—one for 70-thousand dollars for shoreline stabilization, and one for 75-thousand dollars for sediment removal. West Boggs Lake on the Daviess-Martin county line will use 90-thousand dollars for sediment removal, while Gibson County’s New Lake will get 13-thousand dollars for vegetation management.
The LARE grants are good for the 2026=27 state fiscal year.
