Vincennes Water Utilities personnel have been busy finishing various state-aided projects across its territory. The projects include extension of water and sewer lines for the benefit of the U-S 41 Industrial Park, southern and eastern Vincennes, and the Essex Road area.
The funding was provided by the state’s READI grant awards. Vincennes Water Utilities general manager Kirk Bouchie says that money was given to Indiana by the federal government. Bouchie also knows the utility itself also gave a hefty sum to the work.
The allocation was also good for local businesses, as a couple of Vincennes companies were low bidders on those projects.
