The City of Vincennes is forming its 2027 budget estimates for formal presentation this fall. This is the first year that municipal and county government agencies are looking at a state revenue drop, caused by Legislative property tax cuts.
Among those looking at the numbers is Vincennes City Council president Brian Grove. Grove credits years of good work by City department heads to keep their budgets in line each year. Another big budgetary issue is paving. Grove knows it is not possible to pave every road in need, but City officials do the best they can with the money they have.
City officials are meeting with Reedy Financial to get the numbers in line before bringing them to the table. Reedy Financeial has been the City’s fiscal consultant over the last several budget cycles.
