Dodi Lynn (Corn) Blackburn passed away peacefully at her home on July 20, 2026, with loved ones by her side. Born on January 26, 1963, at Daviess County Hospital in Washington, Indiana, Dodi built a life centered around compassion, hard work, and unconditional love for her family and friends.
She graduated from Pike Central High School in 1981 and furthered her education at Vincennes University, obtaining her Associate’s Degree on May 5, 1984.
For 17 years she served at the Knox County Auditor’s Office for the community she cared for. Following this, she spent 21 years at INDOT, continuing her dedication to public service.
Dodi was known for her gentle approach towards others and her ability to embrace people without judgment. She was a loving daughter, mother, and partner. Dodi found joy in life’s simple pleasures – gardening, painting, and traveling around the US with Bryan, hiking, attending concerts, and, of course, to her beaches, enjoying life. She was the most beautiful woman inside and out.
Dodi is survived by her father Larry (Connie) Corn, her brother Dean (Sandy) Corn, her son Cameron Blackburn, her daughter Brighton Blackburn, and her soulmate Bryan Thais. Dodi was preceded in death by her mother Phyllis Wiseman. Dodi loved her dogs Titan, Maggie, and Shi.
Her legacy endures in the love she fostered, the lives she touched, and the example she set through compassion and unwavering strength. All those who knew her will remember her spirit and the light she brought into people’s lives.
A celebration of life will be held on August 22, 2026, from 1:00 until 5:00 pm at Blossom Hill, 2697 E. State Road 61, Vincennes, IN 47591.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Dodi and her family.
