KC Sheriff’s Department Reviewing Its 2027 Budget

The Knox County Sheriff’s office has submitted its budget proposal to Knox County Council for the 2027 calendar year.  The Sheriff’s budget is among the larger ones in the county.

Knox County Sheriff Doug Vantlin gives a bit of a warning about using federal inmate holds as a supplementary budget item.

Knox County Council’s annual four day budget deliberations begin on Monday, September 14th.  The session will be at the Elihu Stout Building at Seventh and Main in Vincennes.
