This is a big weekend in Vincennes, with people coming to the City for not one—but two—major events.
The first is Vincennes Homecoming today and tonight. The festivities will center around the Riverfront Pavilion in downtown Vincennes, and at Inman Field. Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum knows the event is a major draw for Vincennes alumni from all over.
The other big event is the First City Music Festival at the French Commons. That started last night, and continues through tomorrow. Mayor Yochum knows that also brings people in from far and near.
Homecoming activities will lead to tonight’s game between Vincennes Lincoln and Edgewood. As for the First City Music Festival, around 25 groups will be performing over its three-day run.
