An old conference foe, and a new conference foe, await Knox County’s football teams tonight.
The Vincennes Lincoln Alices travel to Bondurant Stadium in Evansville tonight to play a former SIAC foe—the Evansville North Huskies. Kickoff time is 7:30; hear the game on 92.1, WZDM.
The North Knox Warriors head the opposite direction, as they travel northward to play new Southwest Conference opponent Cloverdale. That game time is at 7 pm; you can hear that one on 105.7, WUZR.

In volleyball:
The Vincennes Lincoln Alices and South Knox Spartans faced off last night, with the Alices taking the match in four sets. South Knox took set one, 25-18, before the Lady Alices captured the next three, 25-12, 25-21, and 25-22.
For Vincennes Lincoln, Marlo Thorne and Hope Hambrick led with 12 kills each. Hadley Piper had 20 assists, Emma Cunningham added 14 points, and Cami Treadway led with 13 digs.
For South Knox, it was a quadruple double leading the way for Brooklyn Flanigam—with 10 kills, 18 assists, 11 points, and 11 digs. Braelyn Gladish also scored her 1,000 career dig in thematch, as she ended with33 digs overall on the evening. The Lady Alices move to 21-5, with the Lady Spartans at 14-8.
The North Knox Lady Warriors lost to Barr-Reeve in three sets. The Lady Vikings defeated the Lady Warriors 25-10, 25-9, and 25-10. Five digs led from Jersey Sturgeon and Kendal McGuire.
In middle school sports:
The Clark Middle School 7th and 8th grade teams defeated Evansville North.
The 7th grade won 27-6, behind 99 rushing yards for Tyson Allen. Allen also went 8 of 13 in the air for 81 yards and a score; River Abel made the other scoring pass. The Alices also got a rushing touchdown from Tyson Allen
In the 8th grade matchup, the Alices defeated North 38-14. Collin Smith and Hudson Heiden combined for three touchdown passes. Heiden, Smith, and Anthony Bourdet also scored rushing touchdowns. Heiden led the rushing attack with 130 yards on 13 carries.
