The Vincennes City Council has approved its 2027 budget– but warns it could affect its generosity to helping area events. The budget was tightened up, following a loss of revenue caused by property tax cuts.
Vincennes City Council president Brian Grove says a tighter budget could lead to less public funding for those events. Grove also reminds the public the budget is now under state review– and that the proposal they passed is available for public review.
After the final budget is reviewed, adjusted, and approved by State officials, it will go into place on January first.
