For the most part, planting is now complete—and the first crops are starting their growth in area fields. Purdue Extension Knox County educator Valerie Clingerman says even with an early planting window this year, the results so far are mixed. Clingerman also feels the changing weather in the area this year didn’t help much either.
The next few days will continue that roller coaster, with warmer, drier weather expected, at least through this weekend—when a chance of rain returns.
