Vincennes Water Utilities officials have reported major progress on using the City’s READI dollars to improve infrastructure. Vincennes Water Utilities general manger Kirk Bouchie noted the progress at this week’s meeting of the city’s Utility Services Board.
Bouchie knows the process hasn’t been easy—but it has been rewarding. Bouchie is also glad to say local contractors have stepped up to win the bids for those READI grant projects.
The Vincennes Water Utilities READI work has included some projects to extend water and sewer lines in and around the U-S 41 Industrial Park area. The READI funds were part of the federal government’s response to the Covid pandemic in the early 2020’s.
