Next month is the expected date for bid opening for contractors on Phase Two of Vincennes’ Washington Avenue project. The project will extend improvements on Washington Avenue from Emison southward to and including the intersection with Saint Clair.
Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague says even though it is a City project, INDOT will be in charge of the bid process. Sprague also expects INDOT to let him know when they award the project- and at what cost,
Physical work on Washington Avenue is set for sometime early next year. At this point, various utility companies are reloicating their lines, in preparation for next y year’s work.
