Around 100 Duke Energy Vincennes customers were without power this morning, following a line of severe storms that struck the area overnight. The affected area this morning include the area bordered by 13th Street, !4th, Street, Prairie Street, and Burnett Street. That area is expected to have power restored this morning. The largest Duke outage is around 1,000 customers still without power in the Terre Haute area.
Also, WIN Energy REMC is reporting scattered power outages this morning in Knox, Sullivan, and Vigo Counties. The outages are due to severe storms that hit the area last night, into the overnight hours.
In Knox County, around 30 houses are still without power in the WIN Energy service area around Coon Hunter Road. Power is being restored to those areas throughout the morning. Other WIN-affected outages are along the U-S 41 corridor in both Sullivan and Vigo Counties, from near Sullivan to just south of Terre Haute.
