The Knox County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Vincennes hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday for the new Rotary Pavilion at the Vincennes Girls Softball League.

The Rotary Pavilion is a community improvement project completed by the Vincennes Rotary Club and is designed to provide a lasting impact to the Vincennes community by enhancing recreational facilities for local youth, families, and visitors. The pavilion reflects Rotary’s ongoing commitment to service projects that strengthen the community and create enduring value.

From President Elect Cassie Abel:

“The Rotary Pavilion is more than a shelter. It provides an area of rest with many picnic tables (2 which are specifically wheelchair compatible), a convenient break from the blazing summer sun, and protection from pop-up showers (and pop-fly balls!).  It is a place to gather. Together. A place for celebration. It is a place…for you, our community in which we live and work.
Impactful projects such as this are made possible by our Vincennes Rotary Club Foundation which is heavily supported by our 52/52 Rotary Raffle. For those who have previously purchased a Rotary Raffle from a Vincennes Rotarian – YOU have help to create this magic for our youth and their families.”
