The annual “Summer on Main” is happening tonight from five to ten on Main Street in downtown Vincennes. The event features food, drinks, entertainment, and a documentary preview.
The preview is of the Vincennes Rendezvous’ appearance on the PBS show “Finding Festivals. It will be screened at six this evening at the Pantheon Business Theatre, at 426 Main Street. Rendezvous marketing director Mark Hill says the production crew got the idea while seeking festivals honoring the nation’s 250th birthday.
The spotlight on the Vincennes Rendezvous will kick off the second season of “Finding Festivals.” Show producers reference the Rendezvous’ centerpoint—the 1779 capture of Fort Sackville—as “the forgotten battle that shaped American history.”
