Vincennes City officials named former Knox County Chamber of Commerce president Jamie Neal as the annual “Spirit of ’76” Award winner. Neal was nominated by Ellen Harper, due to her leadership and investment to help each others’ shared goals.
In her many years as Knox County Chamber director, Neal was praised for, among other things, her support of local initiatives and volunteer service. She was also behind some innovative programs, including the annual “Santa Bucks” Christmas initiative, the Five Under 40 honors, and the 2024 Eclipse program.
Neal will receive the honor during the Vincennes City Council session on Monday, July 13th.
