The Vincennes City Council has approved a rezoning of land along Thompson Drive from a mix of zoning designations to all R-2 residential. The designated zoning area is at 80 Thompson Drive.
The rezoning is part of an overall move to build a set of residences in that area. Council passed the motion unanimously.
Council also approved a move to R-2 zoning for a locaton near Eighth and Broadway in Vincennes. That zoning change is for Historic Hospitality, LLC, to install a new bed and breakfast at that location. That motion was also approved unanimously. Both motions were recommended favorably by the Knox County Area Plan Commission.
