Area Jobless Numbers Released for June

Daviess County had one of Indiana’s lowest unemployment rates in June at 3%.
      That’s the same as June of 2025.  In Knox County, the rate of 3.5% last month was the same as a year ago.
      Martin County had a jobless rate of 3.2% in June, up two tenths of a percent from the same time last year.
      Dubois and Gibson Counties also had rates of 3.2% last month.
      That’s two tenths’ percent higher than a year ago for Dubois County and a tenth of a percent higher for Gibson County.
      Sullivan County’s June unemployment rate stood at 3.3%, two tenths of a percent lower than a year earlier.
      Greene County’s jobless rate of 3.7% was a tenth of a percent lower than June of 2025.
      And Pike County’s June unemployment rate of 3.8% was three tenths of a percent higher than the year before.
      The average unemployment rate among Indiana’s 92 counties in June was 3.6%.
