Vincennes City Council will begin consideration this evening on an expanded Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area—or DORA—at this evening’s session. The proposal would expand the area to cover eight different vendors as DORA locations. They include Pub n’ Grub, the Café Moonlight, Prime Sports, Willie’s Pub, the Harmony Society, Procopio’s, Vinyl Pie Pizza, and River and Main. All eight are located on Main between First and Tenth Streets, in the 100 block of North Second Street, and in the ten-block of North Fourth Street.
The rule allows alcoholic drinks to be carried in the DORA area. The hours the DORA rule is in effect is 11 am to ten p-m Sunday through Thursday, and 11 am to 1 am on Friday and Saturday.
Council passed the original area on April 27th. The new boundaries are an extension of that covered ground.
