The Knox County Commissioners are busy preparing their budget for Knox County Council review in about a month’s time. Council’s annual four-day budget session will happen at its traditional time in mid-September.
Commissioners’ president T-J Brink says the plan is to review future plans with both County departments and vendors. Brink also says asset timing and future projects will be key parts of their budget requests this year.
After Council gives its final approval to the budget, it will be set for a final review by the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance. At that time, the D-L-G-F will also set the final property tax levy for County landholders.
