In volleyball:
The North Knox Lady Warriors defeated Dugger Union in five games. The two split the first foursets, with North Knox winning the decisive fifth set 15-12. The Lady Warriors go to 1=0 on the year with the victory.
In soccer:
The Rivet Lady Patriots tied Sullivan 1-1 at Saint Vincent Field. Leela Gilmore scored the lone goal for Rivet. In net, goalkeeper Alli Stearns shone with 24 saves. The Lady Patriots go to 1-1-1 on the season with the tie.
In Tennis:
The Vincennes Lincoln boys lost 5-0 to Evansville Memorial. Carter Johnson was top performer at Number 1 singles, losing a 3 set match. The JV tennis team came up winners, 4-1, in their matches against Memorial.
In Middle School sports:
The Rivet Middle School sixth through eighth grade volleyball teams opened their seasons against North Daviess. The Rivet sixth grade lost to the Lady Cougars in three sets; the seventh grade lost in two, while the eighth grade defeated North Daviess in straight sets.
