The Knox County Commissioners are considering joining forces with the City of Vicnennes on some various bidding ventures. Leaders from the Commissioners and the Vincennes City Council are working on a workable solution at this time.
Commissioners’ president T-J Brink gives the idea behind the joint purchasing power of both groups together.
One of the areas where the two sides can join together on bids is in state road funding through the Community Crossings Matching Grant. Brink believes the two sides’ combined bid package would be to their advantage.
The possible fiscal pact is in the discussion stages at this time. No formal documents have been written to consider any future combination agreements as of now.
